The Mall Road between Library Chowk and Kulri is the lively centre, with shops, cafes and the evening walk; Library Chowk and Charleville, at the western end, are older and a little calmer; Camel's Back Road and Gun Hill are for slow evening strolls; Landour and Char Dukan, to the east, are quieter, with old cottages and bakeries; Barlowganj and Jharipani sit on the slopes below; and the Kempty Road runs out towards Kempty Falls, with many of the resorts and views.
